Machined & Assembly Components in India

Introduction to Machined Components

Machines are the integral and the most important part of any one’s life. By machine we mean an apparatus consisting of interrelated parts with separate functions, used in the performance of some kind of work. A machine can be simple machine e.g. lever, pulley, screw, wedge or an inclined plane. Machine can be complex machine, a combination of simple machines. Nowadays nothing is done or produced manually; machines have replaced human resource to a great extent. The greatest advantages of machines are work done by machines require least effort, very less time. Machined components are used in every field. Hardly any place or field or industry is there that does not use machines. Main industries are medical, electronic, and aerospace etc. Due to great demand and use of machines, high quality manufacturers of machined components are emerging. These manufacturers’ follows technologies that enable machined components to produce complex machined components with precision, based on customer’s specified taste and desired finish quality. They ensure the accuracy as per the standards so as to meet the customer’s expectations.

Introduction to Assembly Components

Components that can be assembled together to form a particular product are generally referred to as assembly components. Components like brake pedal, Gear Shift Lever, Lever kick Starters, etc. combine together to form an automotive assembly. During a car manufacture, initially the components are created individually and then are assembled for final and finished product. Following is the entire cycle of how machined components and assembly components are put together phase by phase for final automobile formation.

· In this particular phase, the components are brought together and all of them are used in the framework of the automobile. The cars are usually created from the bottom side and then preceded upwards. Generally, the frame acts as the base and the assembly components are installed on it. The frame is placed on the assembly line and is clamped to the conveyer to avoid any misplacement. This is where the front and rear suspensions are installed accordingly.

· Next comes, the installation of the engine parts. The workers utilize robotic arms to install the components of the engine along with the radiator. Since, the components are very heavy so, these are carried by robotic arms and assemblers use pneumatic wrenches for bolting pieces together.

· Floor pane is the most important part as all the braces and panels are attached to it while moving down the assembly line. This is how the shell of the vehicle is created. The left and right panels are picked by the robotic arms and are placed on to the floor pan for welding and fixtures.

· In the similar style the roof, body side panels and rear and front pillars are assembled. After the framework goes through the weld area in the assembly line, subsequently the components like assembled doors, hood panel, deck lids, fenders, trunk lid and bumper reinforcements are installed.

· Before painting, the body undergoes rigorous inspection processes. During this process the body is wiped with hi-light oil soaked cloths. Under the effect of this oil, sheet metal body panels are tested for defects. All dents and dings are repaired by expert repairmen. Once the body has been tested completely, the assembly component conveyor carries it through the cleaning stations. This is where the oils, dirt and all other sorts of contaminations are taken care of.

· After that in the line there is drying booth followed by that is the E-coat. This is where the body is provided with a bath of electro statically charged undercoat paint. The body is painted inside out to make sure the top coat of the paint adheres well. The shell from here again is kept for drying and then it is preceded for final paint.

· Generally, in the automobile assembly plants bodies of the vehicles are spray painted by robotic arms. These robots are programmed to provide exact paint to all right areas in time. Once, the complete base coat of color paint is done, the conveyor takes the body into the baking ovens. This is where the paint is cured at temperatures exceeding 275 degrees Fahrenheit. After this the body is ready for internal assembly component installation.

· The painted shell is taken to the interior assembly cell and all the internal wiring, dash panels, lights, seats, door, headlines, radios and speakers are installed along with the body weather-strips, steering column, vinyl tops, brake pedals, carpeting, gas pedals, front and rear bumper system except for automobile windshield all components are installed in this phase.

· Then is the stage of installing the automobile windshield. The robotic arms pick it from the shipping container, a bead of urethane sealer is applied to the glass perimeter and it is then fixed on to the body frame. Followed by this is the water bath where the testing for glasses, door panels is done. Once through with all these tests the body is ready for the chassis.

· The chassis and body shell conveyor meet at this stage of the production cell. The shell is lifted robotically and placed onto the frame of the car. After this the body is taken for final trims, battery tires, gasoline and anti-freeze inclusion. Followed by this is the final check for headlights, horn, tire balance, charging examination.

Leading Supplier of Machined components & Forging Products.

Machines are the integral and the most important part of any one’s life. By machine we mean an apparatus consisting of interrelated parts with separate functions, used for performing some kind of activity. A machine can be simple machine e.g. lever, pulley, screw, wedge or an inclined plane. It can also, be a complex machine or a combination of simple machines.

Nowadays, machines have replaced human resources to a great extent. The biggest advantages of machines are that the work done by machines requires least effort and very less time. Machined components are used in every field. Hardly any place or field or industry is there that does not use any sort of machines. There are many well known industries which manufacture many kinds of Machined components.

Other component type is Forged Component. Forging is one of the oldest known metalworking processes. It is the process used for shaping metals by using compressive forces and increasing their strength by hammering or pressing. Nowadays, quality conscious customers have realized that forged products possess improved strength and toughness which further enhances the quality and increases the life of the product.

Components produced by the forging process, are very strong as compared to those produced by casting or by machining from solid bar material. Forging Products are mainly produced in industries which manufacture iron or steel forgings; wholesales ferrous iron & steel products; industrial valves & fittings; manufactures fabricated pipe fittings; plate metal fabricator; manufactures valves & pipe fittings etc.

The goal of Kayjayforgings is to meet the needs of industry by providing conventional and special forged components as well as machined components. This is the reason that why Kayjayforgings is regarded as one of the leading suppliers of Machined components & Forging Products.
